Synopsis

The Revelation
Cliff Morrison grew up believing that his father had died in Vietnam, but his mother, Lorraine, revealed the truth before he entered military service. He learns that he is actually the son of Jim Morrison, the iconic rock and roll legend, and born from a passionate and magical romance. This revelation transforms Cliff, and he embarks on a journey to achieve musical fame and self-destruction, channeling his father's spirit. He garners support from Alan Graham, Jim's brother-in-law, and tours Europe with former Mafia boss Michael Franzese. Collaborating with Matthew Mellon, a descendant of Carnegie-Mellon, Cliff writes songs. Waylon Krieger, son of The Doors guitarist Robby Krieger, joins his band.
A Turbulent Chapter
Cliff marries Marlon Brando's niece, and after their divorce, he seduces Lisa Walsh, a married mother of two. He tears apart her New Jersey family after falling in love and having a child with her. Succumbing to excessive drug and alcohol use, his behavior alienates everyone except for Lisa and Lorraine, who remain loyal.
Diving into Music
When all seems lost, Floyd Bocox, a local entrepreneur, steps in as Cliff's manager. Floyd establishes Lizard Sun Entertainment, provides funding, restructures the band, and hires Joanne Geffen for Cliff's public relations. The William Morris Agency offers a multimillion-dollar deal, but Lorraine walks away.
The Morrison Estate authenticates Cliff's song "Liquid Highway," featuring Jim's voice, with the tape given to Cliff by former The Doors manager Danny Sugerman. According to Louis Riesman, Jim’s previous attorney, the only known testimony of Jim acknowledging a child is on this tape. However, the majority of Jim's estate remains with Pearl Courson, the mother of Jim's soulmate Pamela Courson. Cliff struggles with his demons, resulting in a high-speed chase and a robbery, ending with Cliff being tasered over twenty times and imprisoned as a three-time felon. This leaves Lisa, Floyd, the band members, the underground LA music scene, and devoted fans to face the consequences of his ruined life.
Finding Closure
If Cliff agrees to an independent DNA test to confirm his paternity, redemption remains possible. In 1992, Cliff's blood was typed by Jim Morrison's previous doctor, but Jim's parents did not disclose the results. Despite previously refusing a DNA test, Cliff has now agreed to undergo one on television to provide clarity for his fans.
Before his death, Jim Morrison faced over 20 paternity suits, none of which were verified. Whether Jim has a child or not has captivated Cliff Morrison's and Jim Morrison's fans worldwide. Fans on social media express their desire for an answer every day.
